Sailing Away Plans is a standalone read with a happy ending. It is sexy if that is an issue for you. Dr. Steve Winston is a widower with 3 grown children. His wife passed away after being sick a long time. He owns his own practice, a beautiful home with one dog and 2 cats but something is missing from his life. He is lonely and bored. He does travel to St. John's island in the Caribbean. He has decided to turn his practice over to his colleagues and move to the island where they need a doctor. He has bought a yacht to use as his home. It is a long way from Ohio but it suits his needs. Not everyone is happy about his decision to up and move. His three spoiled children are throwing a fit, his staff is disappointed and don't want him to go. This is a new adventure for the doctor. There are a lot of people to try to keep happy - none that really have his happiness considered. It is a fun and exciting plan. I found it to be entertaining as well as informative. Things just might be looking up for the good doctor. I definitely recommend it. I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 1/9/2021.

Love the premise of this series - 95 year old George Winston, the family patriarch birthdays wishes and game called PLANS. I want you, kids, to have a goal and succeed in life. You need to have PLANS. Pull a card and show us what your plans are to reach your dreams. Oldest grandson Dr. Steve Winston, pulled Sailing Plans. Mona Risk's Sailing Away Plans is the first story in this unique series. A well crafted romance, with authentic characters (Steve and Lillian), nice plot twists, and a believable resolution. The premise has me thinking what fun could I create - what plans? Lillian's payment plan had me chuckling. Steve's daughter in law Cybil infuriated me. The audacity of THAT spoiled woman. Steve's spoiled privileged kids - WOW! don't get this mama started. A page turning end of summer read romance that smolders.

Sailing Away Plans is a sexy, older couple romance. I liked Lillian and Steve. They are good together. Funny how the kids refuse to come home to visit - until Dad decides to live his own life. Convinced their father is having a midlife crisis and determined to change his mind, Steve's children rush home. This results in some amusing dialog. This is a well told novella that will keep you reading to see how Ms. Risk brings things to a very satisfactory conclusion.

Awesome book Once I started reading I just couldn't put this book down. It has a great story line and wonderful characters. Dr Steve and Lillian have worked together for fifteen years. He lost his wife, she helped him through his grieving. Now he has decided to take several trips and she watches his house and dogs while he is gone. Check out this book you will be glad you did. Can't wait for the next one to come out

Loved It! The doctor and his nurse unexpected find an attraction when he announces he is leaving his practice to live on his boat in St John’s harbor and open a clinic! Inattentive children suddenly appear and protest his plans! Funny and heartwarming love stories of a couple who deserve their HEA!

Dr Steve Winston has had it. His adult children don’t visit anymore, he’s lonely since his wife has passed, he’s ready for a new future. Starting with going to start a new health clinic on a Caribbean island. He bought a boat and is now starting the clinic. He’s leaving Cincinnati behind.
Nurse and widow, Lillian Hayes loves her job and her patients. Now she wants a chance with Dr Steve. She’s had a crush on him for years. Since Lillian won’t take money for watching his dog and cats while he’s away, , he’ll take her out to dinner. When he goes and picks her up he sees that she’s a very attractive woman who’s been hiding behind her nurse’s uniform. The more time they spend together the more he realize he’s been missing something with her. Will his children be ok with him moving to the Caribbeans and live on a boat? Will they be happy for him that he found someone? Will he let his children stand on their on two feet and find their own paths? Will Lillian’s son be shocked she found a love with her boss? This was such a wonderful couple with great characters. I loved this book. It’s well worth the read. Thank you, Mona Risk for making me feel like I was right there with these characters
