One thing that my kids go crazy for is the Baja Blast from Taco Bell. Whenever we go there that is the one thing that they get and if I have to be honest, its really good!
Now I’m not a pop/soda drinker at all I try to limit that for special occasions but this Baja Blast Recipe is one of those ones that I really do like to sip on from time to time.
It’s like a co*cktail for kids and adults, I love when you can make tasty drinks that don’t contain alcohol and are super easy and oh so delicious and that is exactly what this Baja Blast is!
This literally has the most easy ingredients ever that you can really just run up to your local gas station and pick up! Once my kids found out that mom was making these at home they were over the moon.
Like you see with all my copycat posts, I love to be able to take some of my favorite recipes and make them at home. We live in a very small town so we usually have to travel to get to restaurants.
So this is why I have made so many recreations of my favorite dishes so I don’t have to spend the money or the gas just to get them!

CAN I MAKE THIS DIET?
Absolutely, you can can just swap out the Mountain Dew and Sprite for their diet counterparts, the Powerade you can look for a similar version in the zero calorie form.
CAN I MAKE THESE A BAJA BLAST FREEZE?
Yes! We like to do this all the time, we place everything in a freezer bag and then we freeze it in the freezer until it becomes slushy like they serve at Taco Bell.
Usually when we do this we make larger batches that we can just pull from when we want a drink, so it’s best to do it that way but you can do it with one drink itself.
HOW TO STORE:
The best way to store this is if you are going to make a larger pitcher full. This can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. The pop will go flat after any longer time.
This can also be frozen in the freezer for up to about 1 month.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- You can easily make these into a Baja Blast Freeze, see my tips above.
- If you don’t want all the calories, switch over to diet pop.
- You can make a large pitcher or punch bowl and serve over ice if more than one person is going to drink this.
- Equal portions are best when making this recipe, but you can add more or less of what you like.
