Bentley and Macallan have introduced a new limited-edition whisky for discerning customers, a single-malt Scotch whisky housed in a horizontal vessel made up of six materials regularly used by both companies. Examples include glass, aluminum, leather, copper, etc. You get the idea. This whisky is aimed at the wealthy, and we know this because no price was attached. But if you can buy a Bentley Continental GT Speed, you shouldn't be in a position to complain.
But this is not the first time an automaker has teamed up with an outside party to create something other than a car. New expensive timepieces come along every month, and every manufacturer has its own line of clothing, usually worn by the kind of people who base their entire personality around whatever car they own.
For this list, we searched for even more strange non-car-related goods made by an automaker. The list ranges from silly stuff like the first entry to a machine used to save a man’s life.
1 Tesla Cyberwhistle
The Cybertruck Whistle was introduced in December 2021, most likely as a gift for hardcore fanboys. Or perhaps it was a consolation prize, as the Cybertuck concept was shown two years before the whistle made its debut, and Elon Musk promised it would arrive in 2021. We all know how that turned out.
The whistle was introduced in a tweet by Musk, telling people to “blow the whistle on Tesla.” Many saw it as a subtle jab at a Tesla whistleblower, Martin Tripp, who called the company out for wasting metal.
Perhaps Musk had the foresight to know how many early adopters were going to either crash or get stuck in their Cybertruck. We have yet to see somebody use their electric truck as a boat, but if you’re going to try it, don’t leave home without the whistle.

2 BMW i3-Powered Yacht
High-end automakers love to work with luxury yacht manufacturers. In this case, BMW teamed up with Tyde to produce what was claimed to be the first battery-electric boat.
The Icon is powered by two 100 kW electric motors that feed off of six BMW i3 battery packs. Let’s hope those batteries don’t go wrong because they are extremely expensive to replace.
To add to the luxurious ambiance, The Icon has a Dolby Atmos sound system and soundscapes created by two-time Oscar winner Hans Zimmer.
Zimmer also did the interior sounds for the i7 and other electric BMWs. The Icon even came standard with a 32-inch touchscreen, BMW iDrive, and voice activation.
3 Bugatti Razor Blade
Bugatti’s marketing department isn’t afraid to tarnish the brand’s image with ridiculous items. There are several watches dedicated to its various models, but it's not ashamed to put the famous French name on a pool table.
In 2021, it partnered with GilletteLabs to create a special edition of a heated razor that it first launched in 2018. The special edition changes include a body with Bugatti Agile Bleu inserts, a Bugatti emblem on the anodized aluminum and titanium handle, a wireless charging dock, and a co-branded cleaning cloth. It’s perfect for gentlemen who can’t afford a Chiron Pur Sport or the upcoming V16 hybrid model.
4 Mopar Holiday Ugly Sweater
This is actually one gift we can get behind because Mopar is 100% honest about what it is. Its official marketing title is the Mopar Unisex Ugly Holiday Sweater. Unlike Mercedes-Benz and BMW polo shirts, this sweater doesn’t want you to look elegant or sophisticated. This sweater says, “I love V8s and Christmas, and I’ll happily wear a sweater to prove it, even if I look like a spanner.”
5 Porsche 911 GT3 Exhaust Soundbar
Porsche has an entire department dedicated to designing non-car stuff. Sometimes, it makes practical things, like a rooftop tent for the 911 Dakar. Other times, it makes a soundbar with a portion of the 911 GT3’s exhaust attached to it.
While this soundbar is undoubtedly nerdy, we desperately want one. Priced at $12,000 when it was new, it’s way more affordable than the actual car. Having experienced the sound of the GT3 firsthand, we’d put this soundbar on the wall and spend the day listening to the sounds of the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six spin to 9,000 rpm.
6 Chocolate Mazda Miata
Nothing says "I love you" quite like a chocolate Miata, which Mazda sold in Japan for Valentine’s Day last year. However, this wasn’t just a simple molded piece of chocolate that resembled Japan’s most famous roadster. The Miata RF came with a bunch of extra parts, including seats, a full exhaust, dashboard and steering wheel, suspension components, a gearbox, windshield wipers, and four spare chocolate wheels.
7 Honda Motocompacto
Honda made its first foldable short-distance motorcycle back in the 1980s, but it was way ahead of its time. With big cities like New York and LA being as congested as they are, the Japanese automaker thought it was a good time to revisit the idea.
The 2024 Motocompacto is an all-new foldable electric scooter you can take to the office. It weighs 41 pounds, but you can drag it along.
When folded out, it can reach 15 mph. That’s much faster than walking and sitting in traffic in a Honda Type R, which has 476 times more power.
8 Bugatti Electric Scooter
This is the most affordable way to get a Bugatti in your garage, as it costs just $920 and can be purchased online at Costco. After said purchase, you get to tell people you own a Bugatti.
While it is slightly ridiculous, this electric scooter exceeds expectations when it comes to speed. The Honda scooter above can only reach 15 mph, while this high-performance scooter can reach a lofty 18.5 mph. It’s like a Chiron but on two tiny wheels.
9 BMW Gaming Chair
Quite a few manufacturers have gotten into the gaming chair game, but we settled on BMW’s Rival Rig because it's an entirely in-house design. The BMW Group has a dedicated innovation studio called Designworks, and it designed this high-end gaming chair.
The chair uses AI sensors, pneumatic air pads, and electro-mechanical actuators to adjust the seating position for maximum comfort. It comes standard with a climate control system and even a massaging function for those long nights playing Call of Duty.
To make it look funky, BMW Designworks added Tron-like LED lights and unique design elements that wouldn’t look out of place in a BMW M5.
10 Aston Martin Racing Simulator
If one good thing came out of the pandemic, it’s the rise of eRacing. It’s a massive market, and F1 drivers like Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, and George Russell kept thousands of fans entertained in the virtual world while the 2020 championship was on hold.
The increase in popularity has been so dramatic that carmakers are getting into the simulator game. Aston Martin will sell you a racing simulator made out of carbon fiber, boasting the seating position of an Aston Martin Valkyrie. You can also have it finished in several colors inspired by Aston Martin’s F1 livery.
It comes preloaded with the latest Assetto Corsa racing simulation software, so you can just plug in and go. The price is roughly $74,000, which is cheaper than any new model made by Aston Martin. If you’re willing to buy used, you can easily get a high-end sports car for that kind of money.
